Amazon Web Services hosts an annual conference focused on cloud-computing. EarthScope Cloud Architect Alex Hamilton attended to present on our work developing the cloud data systems delivering geodetic data to the ShakeAlert® Earthquake Early Warning System. Development on this system began long before the closure of our on-premise data center in Boulder, making it the first data system that was built for cloud operations.
